About the Author

Janice Ramsay has always followed her own path. She started teaching in a high school after graduation from college, but within a year decided to go to law school. She graduated as one of four women in her class. She worked in the Watts area of Los Angeles at a community clinic for a few years and then joined a law firm as its first woman lawyer. Years later, she would be the first woman to found her own law firm in her field in Orange County, California. Ramsay’s creative and playful side is always evident. She likes to have art and bright colors in her home and offices. She likes to dance, travel and explore new places. When playing with her children and grandchildren, she will sing songs and make up her own lyrics. In recent years, she allowed herself to follow her heart into an unchartered territory. Feelings prompted by finding a new love later in life led her to begin to express herself poetically. She had the idea to combine her poetry with her fascination for the color, beauty and intrigue of photographs and invented a new genre—the combination of the visual and the poetic. She calls it SeeSay.

Her first book, Little Love Poems, was only about the various kinds and dilemmas of love, but now she has ventured into other aspects of life.
